Rocket Science. It's Not Exactly Drumming!
It may not have as many moving parts, but it’s just as explosive.
When those beats take off, they’re gonna move people to places no rocket ever could, with more power than a million cruise missiles.
In rocket science there are answers for everything, when it comes to drumming there are no rules.
Sat at that kit is a bit like being at the control panel of some strange space ship, but instead of buttons and levers, each with a precise function, the drums will ever remain mysterious and powerful beyond human comprehension.
Imagine a rocket scientist trying to make sense of drums. It's not the kind of science where hours spent in a lab can help you. Try hooking a drummer up to machines and she'll blow the circuit.
But the trouble is that people don’t see the thousands of hours spent pouring blood, sweat and tears (often literally) into those drums to get the sounds that make people dance like fools, jump into each other in crowded rooms or make up beat poems.
Even masters of the drums are still students really, honing their craft and thumping their tubs.
We could wax lyrical about the awesome power of the drums all day but it’s much easier to say it in a drumming tee: rocket science is great and everything, but it ain’t exactly the drums.
